The Air Medical Transport Mechanicisresponsibleforthedirectoperationand Not Specified administrationofavionicsmaintenanceandsupportwillensure: 1.Compliancewith Federal Aviation Administration(FAA)andotherregulations 2.Thataircraftavionicsandavionics-relatedequipmentinspectionandmaintenance recordsareoriginatedandretainedforreviewasneeded 3.Thatspecificequipmentandspecialtoolsaremadeavailabletoaccomplishthe inspections,maintenanceandrepairoravionics-relatedcomponentsonanyaircraft inuse 4.Thatallappropriateentrieshavebeenmadeand/ortranscribedtotheaircraft journalandtechnicallogswithrespecttotheavionicsmaintenancefunctionand airworthinessstatusoftheaircraft
Training Requirements
Completionof FAA-certifiedmechanicschoolorequivalenton-the-jobtraining 1.The National Incident Management System(NIMS)Training Programdefinesa nationalbaselinetoguideandpromote NIMStraining.Itprovidesrecommendations toassist Authorities Having Jurisdiction(AHJ)indevelopingtheirowntrainingplans, tailoredtotheirspecificneeds 2.Completionof Haz Mat Awareness Trainingorequivalentisrecommendedbutnot required.Thebasicinstructionmaybeconsistentwith: a.Thehazardsanticipatedtobepresent,orpresentatthescene b.Theprobableimpactofthosehazards,baseduponthemissionroleofthe individual c.Useofthepersonalprotectiveequipment(PPE)consistentwith Centersfor Disease Controland Prevention(CDC)Guidanceon Emergency Responder Personal Protective Equipmentfor Responseto Chemical,Biological,Radiological, Nuclear(CBRN)Terrorism Incidents
