The Air Operations Branch Director: Not Specified 1.Establishesortransitionsintoabranchunderthe Operations Sectioninthe Incident Command System(ICS) 2.Supervisesandconfiguresthebranchwithgroupsasnecessary 3.Maintainsfulloperationalcontroloverincident-relatedairandsupportassetsor coordinatesthedeploymentofandsupportfor Air Operationsresources 4.Assessesbothmannedandunmannedairresourceneedsandensuresthe appropriateuseofbothunder Air Operations 5.Maintainsaccountabilityforallincidentairassets 6.Overseesmobilizationanddemobilizationofairresources 7.Ensuresairspacesafetyanddeconflictionbycoordinatingtemporaryflight restrictions(TFR)andflightroutes 8.Monitorsallsignificantairresourceproblemsandemergencies,andreportsthem toappropriatepersonnel 9.Coordinatesairresourceneedsandusewithstateandfederalagency representatives 10.Supportsthe Operations Section Chiefor Incident Commander(IC)basedon theirrequirementsrelatedtothe Incident Action Plan(IAP)
Training Requirements
Completionofthefollowing: The NIMSTraining Programdefinesanationalbaselinetoguideandpromote NIMS 1.IS-100:Introductiontothe Incident Command System,ICS-100 training.Itprovidesrecommendationstoassist AHJsindevelopingtheirowntraining 2.IS-200:Basic Incident Command Systemfor Initial Response,ICS-200 plans,tailoredtotheirspecificneeds. 3.ICS-300:Intermediate Incident Command Systemfor Expanding Incidents 4.ICS-400:Advanced Incident Command Systemfor Commandand General Staff– Complex Incidents 5.IS-700:National Incident Management System,An Introduction 6.IS-800:National Response Framework,An Introduction 7.E/G/L0191:Emergency Operations Center/Incident Command System Interface 8.Authority Having Jurisdiction(AHJ)-approved Air Support Group Supervisor course 9.AHJ-approved Introductionto Air Operationscourse
Experience
Knowledge,Skillsand Abilities: Militaryrating(currentorformer)asapilotornavigatormayfulfillairtacticalorair 1.Knowledgeofairtacticaloperations supportexperiencerequirement.
