Training Requirements

Completionofthefollowing: The National Incident Management System(NIMS)Training Programdefinesa 1.IS-100:Introductiontothe Incident Command System,ICS-100 nationalbaselinetoguideandpromote NIMStraining.Itprovidesrecommendations 2.IS-200:Basic Incident Command Systemfor Initial Response,ICS-200 toassistthe Authority Having Jurisdiction(AHJ)indevelopingtheirowntraining 3.IS-700:An Introductiontothe National Incident Management System plans,tailoredtotheirspecificneeds 4.IS-800:National Response Framework,An Introduction 5.Traininginreportingrequirementsoftechnologicalcapabilitiesandoperational theoryrequirementsinarecoveryenvironment

Experience

1.Minimumof10yearsofleadershipandmanagementexperienceinthefieldof Previousparticipationina Presidentially-declareddisasterispreferred,butnot publicworks required 2.In-depthunderstandingoftheprincipalsofplanningandresponsetoemergencies 3.Pastinvolvementinlogisticalactivitieswithcommunity,regionalorstatelevel officials 4.Annualparticipationincommunity-basedemergencymanagementexercisesas outlinedin Homeland Security Presidential Directive(HSPD)-8 5.Knowledgeofthe Stafford Actand FEMAResource Typing
