The CISMTeam: 1.Assessesandprioritizesthebehavioralhealthneedsoffirstresponderstoanevent 2.Providespeer-led,mentalhealth-informedinterventionstomitigatecommonstressresponsesandfacilitatereturntowork.Interventionsinclude: a.Individualpsychologicalfirstaidorcrisisintervention b.Educationregardingnormalstressresponsesandcopingstrategiesforpsychologicalresiliencethroughinformationalgroupssuchas Rest Informationand Transition Servicesforfirstrespondersand Crisis Management Briefingsforthosewithsupportivefunctionsandcivilians c.Groupinterventionstodiscussresponderexperiencesandelicitsocialsupport,includinginteractivegroupprocessessuchasdefusing,Critical Incident Stress Debriefing(CISD)and Psychological First Aid(PFA) 3.Providesreferralstocommunityresourcesforfollow-uportoaddresstheneedforhigherlevelsofcare
