The DESTask Force: 1.Helpsidentifygapsincategories,quantitiesandlocationsofemergencysuppliesinthecommunity 2.Determinesstrategicdistributionmethodstofillthosegaps 3.Identifiesthetypeandquantityof Mobile Distribution,Drive-Through Pointof Distribution(POD)and Pedestrian PODteamsnecessary 4.Ensuresthatteamsdeploytoassignedlocations 5.Liaiseswiththe Logistics Section,the Donations Coordination Task Forceandcommercialretailerstoensurecoordinatedemergencysupplydistribution 6.Coordinateswithpublicinformationandexternalaffairsstafftoinformthepublicofdistributionoperations 7.Identifiessourcesofsuppliesandensurestheirdeliverytodistributionoperationlocations 8.Monitorsburnratesandcoordinatesresupply 9.Maintainsaccurateinformationaboutdistributionlocationsandtheirhoursofoperation
