The Epidemiological Response Team: 1.Supportspublichealthauthoritiesinthe Authority Having Jurisdiction(AHJ)inincidentepidemiologicaltasks 2.Performsepidemiologicaltasks,including: a.Designingandconductingdatacollectionrelatedtothetargetdiseaseorinjuryagent b.Conductingdataanalysis c.Developingandpresentingqualitativeandquantitativedatadescribingtheaffectedandat-riskpopulations,themethodsofagentspreadortransmissionand otherinsightsthatinformdecision-making,policyandactionstocontroltheincidentimpact 3.Manages,implementsandmonitorsorderedcontrolmeasures,includingisolationandquarantine 4.Supportscontacttracing 5.Augmentsin-placeepidemiologicalfunctions 6.Interfacesandcoordinateswithpublichealthagencies,jurisdictional Emergency Support Function(ESF)#8–Public Healthand Medical,healthcare coalitions,publichealthassessmentteams,environmentalhealthteamsorotherpublichealthdisciplinesandlaboratories
