Thisteam: 1. Conductsairreconnaissanceandsearchoperationsusingfixedwingaircraftduringdayornightundervisualmeteorologicalconditions(VMC) 2. Conductsoperationswithtechnologiessuchasvideo,stillimagery,forward-lookinginfrared(FLIR)imagery,hyperspectralimagingandreal-time videofeedback,usingavailableequipment 3. Conductssearchoperations,including: a. Aerialsearchofapre-strikeorpost-strikeareainsearchofpersonnelwhoneedtobeextractedorrescued b. Coordinationwith,anddirectionof,mobilegroundandairsearchandrescueassetstohelpextractorrescuepersonnel 4. Conductsreconnaissanceoperations,including: a. Pre-strikereconnaissanceofanareaforecasttoexperienceahurricane,tropicalstorm,flood,fireorotherincident b. Post-strikeaerialdamageassessmenttogatherinformationforplanningresponseandrecoveryactivities c. Lawenforcementmissions 5.
