The HMFloodplain Management Specialist: Not Specified 1.Providestechnicalandprogrammaticassistancetointernalandexternal stakeholdersonfloodplainmanagementactivitiesinpre-andpost-disaster environments 2.Helpsparticipatingcommunitiesidentifysolutionstopost-disastercompliance issues,withspecialemphasisonrepetitiveloss(RL)andsubstantialdamage 3.Interpretsgeographicdatarelatedto Flood Insurance Rate Maps(FIRM)and Flood Insurance Studies(FIS) 4.Supportsthecommunity'sfloodplainmappingupdatebyparticipatinginmapping needsmeetings,providingupdatesonfloodhazards,andhelpingthecommunity understandandadoptnewfloodmaps 5.Obtains National Flood Insurance Program(NFIP)informationfrom HMinsurance specialiststoidentifyspecificissuesinaffectedcommunities 6.Consultswithfloodplainmanagementstaffconcerningongoingissuesandthe floodplainmanagementhistoryofcommunitiesindesignatedareas 7.Coordinateswithmitigationstafftoensurethatfloodplainmanagementactivities supportthegoalsandobjectivesfordisasterrecovery 8.Sup
