About This Position
The IMT–Firefighting: 1.Deploystomanagefireincidentsoreventsthatrequireahighercapabilityorcapacitylevelthantherequestingjurisdictionororganizationcanprovide 2.Assumesmanagementoftheincidentfortherequestingjurisdictionoragency,orsupportsalocal Incident Commander(IC)or Unified Commandandits IMTinmanaginganincidentorevent 3.Directsandtrackstacticalresourcesthatthe Authority Having Jurisdiction(AHJ)andothersupportingorganizationsprovide 4.Performs Command,Operations,Planning,Logistics,Finance/Administration,Safety,Public Information,and Liaisonfunctions,astheincidentrequires 5.Coordinateswith Emergency Operations Center(EOC)personnel,the AHJ,and Agency Administratorsregardingincidentmanagementobjectivesand support 1.1-SEPTEMBER2025 INCIDENTMANAGEMENTTEAM–FIREFIGHTING 1OF6 Resource Typing Definitionfor Fire Managementand Suppression Fire/Hazardous Materials
