The Liaison Officer: Not Specified 1.Servesasthesinglepointofcontact(POC)forrepresentativesofgovernment departmentsandagencies—state,local,tribalandterritorial(SLTT)andfederal—as wellasforjurisdictions,Nongovernmental Organizations(NGO),privatesector organizationsandothercooperatingagenciesandorganizations 2.Speaksonbehalfofthe Incident Commander(IC) 3.Ensuresthatthosewhoarenotpartofthecommandstaffbutwhocontributeto anincident’sprevention,protection,mitigation,responseandrecoveryreceive appropriateinformationandexchangecommunicationswiththe Incident Management Team(IMT)

Training Requirements

Completionofthefollowing: 1.Identifiedequivalenttrainingsshouldmeetorexceedcourselearningobjectives. 1.IS-100:Introductiontothe Incident Command System,ICS-100 2.The NIMSTraining Programdefinesanationalbaselinetoguideandpromote 2.IS-200:Basic Incident Command Systemfor Initial Response,ICS-200 NIMStraining.Itprovidesrecommendationstoassist Authorities Having Jurisdiction 3.ICS-300:Intermediate Incident Command Systemfor Expanding Incidents (AHJ)indevelopingtheirowntrainingplans,tailoredtotheirspecificneeds. 4.ICS-400:Advanced Incident Command Systemfor Commandand General Staff –Complex Incidents 5.IS-700:National Incident Management System,An Introduction 6.IS-800:National Response Framework,An Introduction 7.E/G/L0191:Emergency Operations Center/Incident Command System Interface 8.E0956:National Incident Management System Incident Command System All- Hazards Liaison Officer Course,orequivalent 9.United States Fire Administration(USFA)O-0305:Type3All-Hazards Incident Management Team(AHIMT)Introduction,orequivalent
