Knowledge,Skillsand Abilities: NFPA1006:Standardfor Technical Rescue Personnel Professional Qualifications 1.Knowledgeofstructuralcollapserescueandassociatedhazards,including and NFPA1670:Standardon Operationsand Trainingfor Technical Searchand recognitionofthevarioustypesofbuilding/structuralcollapsesandtheirimpacts Rescue Incidentsaddresstheserequirements. 2.Understandingofrescueproceduresinbuilding/structuralcollapseenvironments duringdayandnightoperations 3.Abilitytocarryoutthefollowing: a.Technicalrescue b.Roperescue c.Structuralcollapse SAR d.Confinedspace SAR e.Machineryrescue f.Trenchandexcavation SAR Experience: 1.Demonstratedexperienceinscenemanagementanddynamicriskassessment 2.Experiencewithrelevantbuilding/structuralcollapses,confinedspaceoperations androperescuetechniques 3.Experienceinidentifyinghazards,includingpotentiallyhazardousoperating environments 4.Completionofa Structural Collapse Rescue Technician Position Task Book(PTB) orequivalentdocumentationthatvalidatesandverifies(by AHJ)thesuccessful completionofallskillsanddemonstratedabilitytoperformskillsinexercisesand/or actualincidentoperations
